This week's mail.

FROM GEORGE & CAROL STUART, Site 202:  (4/27)

This afternoon George and I arrived HOME to our cottage in Manitoba!  We have had a wonderful two weeks of touring and visiting since leaving Palm Creek on the 12th.  The weather was excellent every mile/kilometre of our travels.  And how lucky we are to live in two beautiful countries.  The highways and freeways of the U.S and Canada provided spectacular scenery along our route!

We wish all our Palm Creek friends a lovely summer with family and friends!  We hope the sun shines in your part of the country .....just as it always does in our home in Arizona! :)

Here's a few pictures of our arrival this afternoon.  We have a very long drive-way from the cul-de-sac to our cottage.  It took George 3 hours of unloading all the junk in our car onto a toboggan and then up to our house!   "Welcome back to the snowy north!"

Cheers!  Carol and George

FROM MARILYN STEWART, Site 1886

We arrived at our home in Wyoming today.  It was 62 and no wind so that was a nice homecoming.  Have looked at the blog already.   Keep those updates coming.  Love them!    Marilyn Stewart  #1886

FROM MIKE & PAT CHATER

Tonight was the first time I got to read your blog Sue.......it was so good to see all of the happenings in Palm Creek.  Mike and I would love to be back in PC as it snowed here again tonight and there are so many piles of snow trying to melt, with no success.  Ontario isn't as bad off with snow as what Saskatchewan is though.

FROM ROGER & LOUISE ODLE, Site 385

We meandered our way back to Iowa via New Mexico, Texas and Kansas.  In New Mexico, we toured Spaceport America.  We didn't quite know what to expect but it was very interesting.  For a mere $200,000 you too can fly into space.  The whole trip only takes about 2 1/2 hours.  The people won't go into orbit but they will experience weightlessness.  The really amazing thing to me is that they have 500 people on the waiting list.  Then it was on to Texas to visit my brother who lives in the Texas hill country near Austin.  The bluebonnets were blooming their little heads off and there was a treat for the eyes around every turn.  In Kansas we visited our son and got involved with some of the wedding planning.  Our 45 year old confirmed bachelor finally found the "right" one and will be married in September.  We drove to Iowa on April 15th and stopped for lunch north of DesMoines.  When we came out it was snowing.  Roger, who hopes to never see snow again unless it is on purpose, wasn't all that happy.  We drove on home and the next day our deck was covered with snow.  It was kind of like Mother Nature wanted to make sure that we got the message of just who is in charge.  Roger left on Sunday for a father/daughter trip in New Orleans and I got a text from him today that it is 80 degrees there; it is 37 here with a strong northwest wind.  He definitely made the right move. ha  Best wishes to you two, Louise Odle
